Appziot Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Appziot ("the App") provides a no-code Shopify mobile app builder that lets merchants design, publish, and manage native iOS and Android storefront apps ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
This policy also covers visitors to appziot.com, users of the Appziot admin dashboard, and, where Appziot processes data on a merchant's behalf, shoppers who use a merchant's Appziot-powered mobile app.
Personal Information the App Collects
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account, depending on the access scopes you grant and the features you enable:
- Shop information, such as store name, domain, contact email, currency, timezone, and locale
- Products, variants, collections, inventory quantities, product listings, tags, and sales-channel publication status
- Orders and order edits needed to display order history and support mobile commerce
- Customer records authorized by your installed scopes, such as name, email address, phone number, shipping/billing addresses, and related order history
- Discounts and checkout validation data used to apply rules in the mobile app
- Online store navigation (menus) used to build mobile app navigation
- Storefront customer and order data used when shoppers log in or check out inside the merchant's mobile app
Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:
- Information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, email address, login credentials, store URL, branding assets, app layout and widget settings, support communications, and billing plan selections. We do not collect payment card numbers; subscription charges are processed by Shopify.
- Information about individuals who visit your store or use your mobile app, such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser details, time zone, opted-in push notification tokens, cart and checkout session data needed to complete purchases, and identifiers associated with cookies or similar technologies on the device.
- Demo and website inquiry details you submit (for example through our book-a-demo form), such as name, email, store URL, and message content.
We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, or using the following technologies: "Cookies" are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org. "Log files" track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. On our marketing website we also use Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity session analytics, and the Tawk.to chat widget when you contact support. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:

- Optimize or improve the App, including diagnosing errors and monitoring performance
- Synchronize Shopify catalog, inventory, customer, and order data with your mobile app
- Deliver push notifications and related messaging that you configure
- Process subscriptions and usage charges through Shopify billing
- Publish or update iOS and Android apps when you ask us to assist with store listing submission
- Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and Shopify platform requirements, including mandatory privacy webhooks
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Shopify merchant or customer data for unrelated advertising or behavioral targeting.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We share personal information only with service providers and platforms that help us operate the App, and only as needed for those purposes:
- Shopify Inc. — app installation, Admin and Storefront APIs, checkout, and billing
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, and infrastructure for the App and website

Your Rights
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Additional GDPR details are on our GDPR page.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example to provide the App after you install it), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to India, Canada, and the United States.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights under other privacy laws, including the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain processing. End customers of a merchant should contact that merchant first; merchants control most customer data processed through their stores and apps.
Shopify Mandatory Privacy Webhooks
Appziot subscribes to Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks and processes them as follows:
- customers/data_request: We compile applicable customer data stored by Appziot and provide it to the merchant so the merchant can fulfill the customer's request
- customers/redact: We delete or anonymize customer personal data associated with the request
- shop/redact: After uninstall, we delete or anonymize shop data, subject to legal retention requirements
Data Retention
When you install and use the App, we maintain store configuration, app settings, and related records while your shop remains connected to Appziot, and for a limited period after uninstall so we can process Shopify's shop/redact webhook, unless and until you ask us to delete this information or Shopify instructs us to redact it. Customer personal data is retained only as needed to operate features you enable and is deleted or anonymized when we receive a customers/redact request, when you uninstall and shop/redact is processed, or when you ask us to delete it, unless retention is required by law. Website logs and support tickets are kept for a reasonable period needed for security, support, and legal compliance.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. See our Data Security page. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants must maintain accurate privacy policies for their stores and mobile applications, disclose Appziot-powered data practices to their customers where required, and obtain any consents required by law for push notifications, analytics, or other collection in their apps.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
