Submitting a Shopify store app to Apple and Google
July 4, 2026 • 7 min read
Building screens in Appziot is not the same as being live on the App Store and Play Store. Reviewers look at metadata, privacy, and whether the binary matches what you claimed.
Accounts you must own
Apple Developer Program is an annual Apple fee. Google Play Console has a one-time registration. Put them in the merchant’s company name, not a freelancer’s personal Apple ID, or you will fight transfers later.
What to upload
Screenshots from a real device or the editor preview: home, collection, product, cart. App icon that matches the mark you already use. A privacy policy URL that loads over HTTPS — Appziot’s public policy is /privacy-policy/. Support URL can be your site or support@appziot.com.
Copy that fails review
Do not promise “unlimited everything” if the plan does not. Do not show other brands’ trademarks in screenshots. Do not hide that checkout is Shopify. Age rating and export compliance questions are yes/no — answer them; do not skip.
Binary vs. live layout
Appziot uses server-driven UI: merchandising changes after approval do not always need a new binary. The first submission still needs a complete, working app. Broken login or an empty catalog is a rejection, not a “we’ll fill it later.”
Timing
Apple often takes days, not hours. Google is usually faster but can still bounce you for a missing data-safety form. Build buffer before a campaign launch date. The editor work can be a day; review is not.
After you are live
Keep the Shopify app installed. If you uninstall Appziot, the storefront app loses sync. Plan changes (Lite, Starter, or Growth) are in the Shopify billing UI, not in Apple’s listing.
